Annie Lu

Ms. Lu has more than 20 years experience in the legal field advocating for individuals facing challenging and often unfair circumstances. Throughout her career, Ms. Lu has dedicated herself to protecting people’s rights—whether helping injury victims recover from life-changing accidents or standing up for tenants facing unsafe living conditions, wrongful evictions, or housing discrimination.
Education & Career Experience
Before entering private practice, Ms. Lu worked with victims of sexual assault and domestic violence at nonprofit organizations, including the Family Violence Law Center, where she developed a deep commitment to justice and advocacy for vulnerable communities. Today, she brings that same empathy and tenacity to her landlord-tenant practice, where she represents tenants in disputes against landlords and property management companies. Ms. Lu understands the real-life stakes involved in housing cases and is devoted to helping clients secure safe, stable housing and fair treatment under the law.
As an experienced litigator, Ms. Lu has successfully handled complex cases in both state and federal courts. Her approach combines strategic legal insight with compassionate client service—helping tenants understand their rights, assess their options, and make informed decisions that protect their homes, health, and families.
Ms. Lu earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of California, Irvine, in Criminology, Law & Society and Political Science, graduating with honors. She received her law degree from UC College of the Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she earned the CALI Award for Community Economic Development.
Fluent in Mandarin, Spanish, and English, Ms. Lu is a powerful advocate for tenants from diverse backgrounds. She uses her extensive experience and commitment to justice to ensure that every client she represents is heard, respected, and treated fairly.
